BetRivers Launches Online Gambling Operations in Delaware with Sports Betting and Casino Games
Rush Street Interactive (RSI), the digital arm of Rush Street Gaming that operates BetRivers has launched the online casino and sports betting site and app in Delaware. It took over the state’s online gambling operations from 888 Holdings. Delaware casino players now have access to a variety of online slots, table games, and sports betting via the operator’s desktop client, mobile site, and native apps.
888 Holdings has provided iGaming and sports betting in the state since 2013, when Delaware became the first state to legalize real-money online casinos. The operator’s entrance to the First State was initially announced in August 2023, when RSI revealed that the Delaware State Lottery had selected it for a five-year term, renewable for additional one-year terms.
Under the agreement, BetRivers can offer iGaming, online sports betting, and retail sportsbooks through three land-based facilities in Delaware: Bally’s Dover Casino Resort, the Casino at Delaware Park, and Harrington Raceway and Casino. Each casino maintains its own online sports betting license, which uses the BetRivers skin.
With this expansion, BetRivers continues to grow its presence in the United States. The brand operates in 14 states, including Delaware’s neighboring states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. In the mid-Atlantic region, the US sportsbook operator is also live in New York.
Richard Schwartz, CEO of RSI, commented on the collaboration upon signing the agreement, stating, “We are honored to be selected by the Delaware State Lottery selection committee to provide online gaming operations in the First State.” He highlighted the significance of this partnership, noting RSI’s established track record in nearby states and their commitment to providing innovative online gaming experiences.
Helene Keeley, Director of the Delaware Lottery, praised RSI upon awarding the contract for its product quality, customer service, and responsible gambling practices.
She expressed confidence in the partnership, saying, “We’re delighted to begin this partnership and have no doubt that Delawareans and the customers of Delaware’s three casinos will be thrilled with RSI’s exciting library of offerings and industry-leading customer service.”
