Play'n GO Partners with PokerStars to Launch a Red Wings NHL-Themed Slot
Gaming software developer Play’n GO has announced a collaboration with Flutter Entertainment-owned casino operator PokerStars in Michigan to create a new slot game dedicated to the state’s local NHL franchise, Detroit Red Wings. The title, Detroit Red Wings Winger Reelers, is exclusively available to PokerStars players in the Great Lakes State.
The video slot features a 5×3 reel grid, 25 paylines, and a 2,000x maximum payout. The title also includes Mega Free Spins, which offer players extended play without additional bets, and Gold Re-Spins, providing another chance for a win. Players will encounter coins, ice skates, a hockey stick, images of hockey players, and four card Royals. The puck symbol serves as the Wild, while trophies act as Scatters.
Magnus Olsson, Chief Commercial Officer of Play’n GO, said in a press release, “The opportunity to team up with PokerStars to design a game for the Detroit Red Wings was very appealing to us from day one, and we’re very pleased with the final product.”
“Game design is at the heart of our success globally, and we’re proud to have been given this opportunity. We’re confident that PokerStars players in Michigan will love this game featuring their home-state hockey team, and we, of course, wish the Red Wings every success for the remainder of the season,” Olsson added.
The new game is designed to resonate with the local audience in Michigan, showcasing Pokerstars’ commitment to creating region-specific content. Traditionally known for its card games, with this collaboration, PokerStars seeks to provide players with new titles in its iGaming selection.
Brent Rovner, PokerStars Casino Director of North America, said, “This exclusive partnership with Play’n GO to create a custom game for the Detroit Red Wings is a testament to PokerStars’ commitment to providing our players with the most innovative and engaging gaming experiences. We’re confident that this game will be a hit with our Michigan players, and we’re excited to see them cheer on their favorite team while enjoying this exciting new game.”
