BetMGM plans to bring more Wheel of Fortune games to Pennsylvania in 2024
BetMGM has recently announced its intention to introduce more Wheel of Fortune games to the Pennsylvania online casino market in 2024. This decision comes after successfully launching several Wheel of Fortune titles in New Jersey.
BetMGM’s CEO, Adam Greenblatt, said during an investor call, “In 2024, we plan to launch the brand in Ontario and Pennsylvania and closely mirror the show’s own promotional calendar to create a truly differentiated iGaming experience and drive further engagement.”
The company’s introduction of titles like Wheel of Fortune and the recently launched Buffalo slot has resulted in notable engagement metrics. According to Greenblatt, nearly half of the players are female, a percentage higher than the average. The company also has reported that cost per action (CPA) is “trending nearly 40% lower since our launch in March,” attributable to the widespread recognition of the popular titles leveraging the brand recognition of the hit game show.
While Greenblatt did not provide specific details on the types or number of Wheel of Fortune games to be released in Pennsylvania, some games are anticipated to incorporate elements of the actual TV show. He also noted that the partnership with Wheel of Fortune is part of BetMGM’s strategy to work with “top-tier gaming content partners” to offer exciting slots featuring familiar brands.
In March 2023, BetMGM first introduced Wheel of Fortune slots. There are currently 11 Wheel of Fortune titles available to BetMGM players in New Jersey. In contrast, Pennsylvania currently has six Wheel of Fortune options, namely Hawaiian Getaway, Megaways, On Tour, Power Wedges, Ruby Riches, and Triple Extreme Spin. The New Jersey platforms offer these six games, along with five additional titles: Elegant Emeralds, On Air, On the Road, Triple Gold Spin, and Winning Words.
As a part of its strategy of partnering with well-known content providers, BetMGM launched a slot game in collaboration with Buffalo Wild Wings, a popular sports bar and restaurant chain with 1,243 locations nationwide earlier this year. Buffalo Wild Wings has 29 locations in Pennsylvania.
