Pragmatic Play, one of the leading developers for US and global slots, has released a festive-themed redesign of its most popular slot titles. Sugar Rush was first released in 2022 but has received a Christmas makeover with Sugar Rush Xmas.

Speaking about the new release in a press release, Chief Operating Officer of Pragmatic Play Irina Corindes said:

“Pragmatic Play has infused a delightful touch of festive spirit into our top-performing titles, offering players exciting gameplay fit for this time of year across their favorite games. Seasonal releases have proven to be a hit, driving engagement for operators around the season. In the case of Sugar Rush Xmas, we’ve retained all the beloved elements of the original title, enriching the overall experience with a festive-themed makeover for added fun.”

Pragmatic Play has released a festive-themed redesign of Sugar Rush, which was first released in 2022 but has received a Christmas makeover with Sugar Rush Xmas.

The seasonal version of the game uses the same 7×7 game grid as the original, with players needing to hit clusters of 5 or more symbols to trigger a payout. The Pragmatic Play slot uses the Tumble feature, so winning icons will disappear, allowing more symbols to fall into place and create more wins.

You can bet between $0.20 and $240 on each spin. This game has high volatility, so you’re more likely to hit big wins but more infrequently. The Return to Player (RTP) percentage ranges depending on the online casino you use to access the game, so be sure to check this before you commit your money. The maximum win you can hit is 5,000x your bet.

Every time you hit a win, winning candy wrappers are left behind, leaving an increasing win multiplier. One spot on the grid can have a maximum win multiplier of 128x. In the base game, multiplier spots only remain for one spin.

The free spin bonus is also very similar to Sugar Rush, although, with the new slot, you need to land three Bauble Scatter symbols to trigger the round. This will give you a minimum of ten free spins, where multiplier spots are held between spins.

If you don’t want to wait around for the free spin round to start, you can buy free spins for a set price.

While the mechanics are mostly the same, Sugar Rush Xmas has received a Christmas makeover, with a candy-themed background replaced by snow drifts and more holiday-inspired designs. Symbols have also received new designs, with frosted versions of the well-known candies from the original.
