Playtech live dealer studio in PA to launch
Gaming technology provider Playtech has broadened its presence in the US by opening a new live casino studio in Pennsylvania. This marks the company’s third state entry in the live casino market, following successful launches in New Jersey and Michigan.
Initially, the studio will provide VIP Blackjack and VIP Roulette through betPARX, the online gambling product of Greenwood Gaming. This company operates two casinos in the Keystone State: Parx Casino in Bensalem and a mini-casino, Parx Casino Shippensburg. The live casino had a soft launch on November 28 but will have a full launch soon, and it is set to operate 24/7.
Pennsylvania, alongside New Jersey and Michigan, is a leading market for iGaming, with PA online casinos generating about $1.36 billion from players in 2022. This year has seen a continued increase in gross gaming revenue (GGR), with January through October figures already surpassing last year’s total, reaching approximately $1.45 billion.
In a press release on the launch, Edo Haitin, Playtech Live CEO, said, “I am very proud of this significant achievement for Playtech Live as we open our Pennsylvania Live Studio. This achievement is a testament to the outstanding dedication and expertise of our team, as well as our commitment to delivering exceptional Live Casino experiences to players worldwide.”
“We are thrilled to complete the tri-state igaming expansion and conquer yet another key territory. The launch of our state-of-the-art studio represents an exciting new chapter in our growth, showcasing our commitment to driving innovation within the industry with our dedicated focus on crafting customized gameplay experiences for the American market,” said Haitan.
Playtech has already partnered with betPARX in New Jersey, demonstrating its commitment to expanding its footprint in legal igaming states. Playtech signed a similar deal with FanDuel in November to expand its live casino product in Canada.
