Software developer Playtech has announced that it has extended its five-year partnership with Sony Pictures Television by two more years to 2028. Under the terms of the original deal, signed in 2021, the companies were to deliver live dealer games based on the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? TV quiz show.

The collaboration initially produced two titles, Live Roulette and Live Trivia. Following the popularity of the titles, the developer has recently added Video Poker Live. Each of these is inspired by Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, which Playtech Live’s Chief Commercial Officer Sasha Uman said in a press release, “has been a global favorite for many years.”

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is a TV quiz show of British origin that involves contestants answering increasingly difficult questions to win escalating amounts of money. Casino collaborations with TV game shows are increasingly popular. For instance, BetMGM launched its Wheel of Fortune Online Casino in March 2023, offering players innovative and diverse gaming options.

“Collaborating with Sony Pictures Television has been a tremendous opportunity for us. It showcases our commitment to securing top iconic brands in the game show and entertainment industry and our dedication to offering high-quality and innovative gaming options to the audience.”
